Covid-19 Government Update

One household rule applies to restaurant reservations.

The 10pm curfew still applies as does the ‘rule’ of 6′, which means by law we are unable to take bookings larger than 6.

Face coverings for guests and staff are mandatory, except when seated at a table for food and drink.

It is now mandatory for every customer to provide their contacts for Track & Trace via the NHS Covid-19 App.

Restaurant Booking Policy

Hart’s Kitchen is open daily serving, breakfast, brunch, lunch, afternoon tea and dinner. A snack menu is also available throughout the day.

We can seat up to 28 guests in the restaurant. To ensure you receive the best level of service, we are only able to accommodate so many guests within each half-hour period. We do ask that once you have secured a reservation at a particular time that you adhere to that time.

If a reservation is made then the table is yours for 90 minutes. If you require your table for longer, please ask a member of the team or call us on 0115 988 1900.

We would respectfully ask that you are ready to be seated at the time of your reservation. Should you arrive after your booking time, we may need to hold you back to a later time to ensure the best possible level of service to all our guests.

It is essential that we are notified of any specific dietary requirements prior to your visit to ensure that we can cater for you appropriately. If you have not informed us at the point of booking, please contact the restaurant to discuss your requirements with a member of our team. We have a full list of allergens on our website or please request a copy when you arrive at the restaurant.

Tables are allocated on the day by the restaurant team and although we will do everything we can to allocate a table in your preferred area of the restaurant, we cannot always guarantee this.

The Hart’s Kitchen team will actively manage restaurant bookings by checking attendance with the main guests/contact we have in our bookings diary.

 

Group Policy 

As we have a limited amount of tables, we class a reservation of 7 and above as a group and we strongly recommended that groups reserve a table in advance by contacting the team directly. (Covid-19 safety measures are in place – please contact the team directly for further information).

We do require a £100 deposit for any table of 7 or more to secure the reservation. This is refundable if cancelled with 7 days’ notice.

We require a pre-order for tables of 7 or more. Your guests can choose from a limited seasonal A la carte menu. This pre-order must be returned 48 hours’ notice prior to your booking.

Group bookings are not permitted in the restaurant on a Saturday evening.

 

Cancellation Policy

The restaurant’s continued viability relies on reservations being honoured by our customers, and adequate notice being given of any changes or cancellations.

Accordingly, the following applies:

1 For all bookings, you must notify us of a cancellation or any changes to the number of guests at least 24 hours prior to your booking.

2 We reserve the right to charge a cancellation fee for any booking that is cancelled, or if numbers are reduced without prior notice.

ALL Friday and Saturday evening and Sunday lunch bookings regardless of size will be asked for credit card details to secure the reservation. A £10 per head charge will be applied for all no-shows and for tables cancelled within 24 hours prior to arrival.
