Hart’s Hotel in Nottingham is a purpose-built modern building which won a RIBA Design Award in 2003.
Designed by one of the Nottingham’s premier architect, Julian Marsh, whose inventive use of space is his particular hallmark. It is a strikingly contemporary building, with 32 well-designed bedrooms. The design has a strong emphasis on environmental sustainability and helps to minimise its impact through the use of ‘passive’ design techniques such as maximising natural light, high levels of insulation and air tightness.
The contemporary privately-owned boutique hotel is owned by its namesake Tim Hart, and is in pride of place overlooking the city on the old ramparts of Nottingham Castle but just a couple of minutes’ walk from Nottingham’s Old Market Square.
