Château Pesquié Wine Tasting & Supper
October 5, 2018
The next wine tasting in our long running series in Harts Upstairs represents a slight departure from the usual format in that we are featuring the wines of one particular Domaine that is a great favourite at Hambleton Hall. The event will be hosted by the owner and winemaker of the Domaine, Frederic Chaudière. As usual we will taste 8 of their wines before dinner in a tutored tasting, taking around 50 minutes and will then sit down to a three course supper with more wines from the same estate.
Pesquié is in the Ventoux area which has benefited in recent years from a warmer climate in Southern France because its altitude and exposure creates cooler conditions than those in the great red wine vineyards of Châteauneuf. Formerly Ventoux may have been a poor cousin but Pesquié have shown that the best vineyard sites can produce wines every bit as good as their illustrious neighbours.
For this tasting Frederic will showcase some of his best reds including some old vintages as well as a couple of delicious whites. The reds mostly feature differing proportions of Grenache and Syrah while Roussanne and Viognier are predominant for the whites.
Tickets £60 per person to include Tasting and Supper – seating is on shared tables.
Enjoy this great opportunity to try out some new wines and meet people who share your enjoyment of wine.
